This one came out sharp. We just wrapped a full 6,800-square-foot roof replacement in Spring, and the homeowner didn't pay a dime out of pocket - USAA covered the whole thing.

Here's what we were working with: a large two-story home with a complex roofline, multiple hips and valleys, dormers, the works. Jobs like this require a clean, methodical approach from the tear-off all the way through to final install. We laid down synthetic underlayment across the entire deck before a single shingle went on - that step alone makes a big difference in long-term moisture protection.

For the shingles, we upgraded this homeowner to TAMKO Titan XT. These are Class 3 impact-resistant shingles, which is a meaningful upgrade in a state that gets hammered by hail. They hold up better, they look great, and in many cases they can qualify you for a discount on your homeowner's insurance premium. That charcoal color against the brick exterior on this house - it just works.

New gutters and downspouts are going up next to finish the job off right. When you replace a roof, it's the perfect time to address the drainage system too. Old or undersized gutters can funnel water in all the wrong places and cause problems down the road.

A lot of homeowners don't realize their roof damage may already be covered. If your home took hail or wind damage and you haven't had it looked at, it's worth a call. We work directly with insurance carriers - including USAA - and walk you through the whole claims process so you're not doing it alone.
